A Rainy Marquee Wedding – Polly and Neil

Today on the blog I bring to you Polly and Neil who got married on a very wet July day. Luckily Polly and Neil are two of the loveliest and warmest people you could ever meet so together with their lovely families they brought all the warmth that was needed! I started my day with Polly at her parents home which is just across the road from the Church they got married in and their marquee was in the field behind the house. It was so awesome having everything so close together and the hope was for all to walk between them and thankfully, although heavy rain was forecast all day, it stayed dry for all of this part of the day allowing them to do this. Having everyone follow them across to the stunningly decorated marquee (flowers by their lovely friend Sarah of Floribunda Rose ) was a lovely moment. We even managed a few photos outside before the rain started but once it started it did not let up for even a second. That did not stop a very special surprise from Polly’s Dad though, the eagle! The brief story is that Polly’s Dad, Michael, spent years filming eagles in their natural habitat and Polly always loved them but had never seen one in real life, so Michael arranged for this. The look on Polly’s face was priceless. Three fantastic speeches and some amazing food later everyone was raring to go on the dancefloor, many getting up even just for the sound check :D so we all knew it was going to be a great party! I stole Polly and Neil away just for a few minutes before I left to get one last shot out in that rain, the kind of shot that you can’t just get every day and it was well worth getting soaked for :) Here are my favourites from their day:
