Priston Mill Wedding Photographs – Nic and Chris – The Watermill at Priston Mill

Nic and Chris got married outside in the sunshine at the Watermill at Priston Mill near Bath. It was literally the prettiest day ever. The weather was perfect and the thought that these two had put into their day was immense!

I started my day at the prettiest B&B with Nic and her gorgeous girls and family. I think the owner is an interior designer and it all felt very French, the colour palette was super neutral which felt very calming, so perfect for the morning of your wedding :) The hair and make up artist was Heidi R Herkes (www.heidirherkes.com) and she was super calm and unflustered, lovely to be around! Then while Nic, her Dad and her bridesmaids all made their way to The Watermill at Priston Mill in my dream VW campervan driven by Richard Fennessy of www.dreambus-hereford.com I was already there with Chris who was chatting with possibly the nicest registrar in the area, Jonathan Hall. The best thing about this wedding was because of it being outside and because we had such lovely registrars, there was much more freedom to move around and get the best shots during the ceremony as moving isn’t much of a distraction when you’re outside. I love outside weddings!!!! Oh and ceremony music was provided by the lovely Bristol String Quartet (www.thebristolstringquartet.com).

Richard stayed around with his gorgeous camper until after the ceremony so that I could get some shots of Nic and Chris with and in it. It matched their colour scheme perfectly as it won’t take long into the photos before you’ll guess what Nic’s favourite colour is. They even matched the windows of the Watermill itself! Their eye for detail didn’t stop there, the level of detail inside was stunning. Nic and Chris both love travelling, in fact they actually met at the airport en route to Vancouver (and Chris proposed in Vancouver because of this), so there was a travelling theme to a lot of the details. Maps, atlas’s, suitcases etc have been used. I was blown away when I even saw cushions made out of maps set out in the bar area!! They had beautiful cakes which were by Anna Tyler www.annatylercakes.co.uk and the flowers were by Central Rose . The other detail I loved was the stationary, which they did ALL themselves! They used the same stationary and lettering throughout, even the instructions and photo list that the ushers had was done in the same stationary. The best use of it was in Chris’s gift to Nic in the morning though which was the best gift ever, a little hamper of luxury items, jewelry and a lovely note :) There were a tonne of lovely moments (not to mention their band, The Zu Zu Men www.thezuzumen.com, who were pretty epic) but I’ll get on with the actual photos so you can see for yourself :)
