Fonmon Castle Wedding Photographs – Vicky and Paul

On a very, very, very, very hot day in June Vicky and Paul got married at Fonmon Castle just outside of Cardiff. I arrived in the morning to the castle where Vicky and her family and bridesmaids were getting ready, Fonmon castle has a cool little ‘brides room’ just off the main room where the ceremony was going to take place so we could secretly see and hear people arriving. Then, when it was time for Vicky to walk to the ceremony, it was literally a second away. Although it probably felt longer for Paul while he waited for what was probably the longest one minute of a song he has ever experienced :) before it was time for Vicky to make her entrance.

After a lovely ceremony (the registrars of the Cardiff area are very laid back) everyone made their way outside for cocktails and to enjoy the sunshine. It’s definitely been my hottest wedding so far this year, I always really feel for the guys in their suits at this time! It wasn’t too long before they were back up in the same room they got married in for their meal though where their speeches followed. It was all the usual speeches except one, Paul’s nephew wanted to say a few words and I’m not sure if there was a dry eye after he had, myself included, opps. The sun shone on into the evening so everyone was straight back outside to make the most of it before their dancing started inside. Here are some of my favourites of the day:
