Barton House Wedding Photographs – Becky and Phil – Bristol Photographer

Becky and Phil got married at Barton House which is just outside of Wantage, It’s a gorgeous place. They wanted a laid back day which is exactly what they had. I started my day with Becky, her family and her lovely best friends in the morning but nipped down part way through to get some of Phil and his boys getting ready in the games room (it’s a cool room). Then once ready Becky, her sister and her best friends walked around the outside of the building right out to the entrance to the marquee where their guests were seated which was attached to the building in which they themselves were getting married. I loved that she had her friends walk around with her, it meant that Phil and the guests could see her coming through the marquee and she had their support for that long walk.

After the ceremony Becky and Phil walked out of the marquee and made the long walk back round to where the guests were (there is a sort of ditch/empty moat between this and the building). There was a barbecue cooking while the guests had a drink (smelt good!) and we made our way into the grounds for some couple shots. Phil then had an outfit change :) before they went in for their meal. The marquee looked fantastic, with the flowers arranged by Susanna Winters. The speeches were all brilliant, I remember lots of parts where I was chuckling silently behind the camera and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house when Phil’s little brother got up to speak (myself included, opps). The rest of the day was super relaxed with no scheduled things like first dance, it just to kick back and relax. Although Phil’s cousins played some music for everyone, they were fantastic and Becky and Phil sort of got forced into a mini two second first dance to a song they played :) Then Matt from Visually Sound took over for the evening.

It was such a great day to be a part of. Barton House were fantastic and looked after me well. Becky and Phil plus their friends and family are just such lovely people, such a pleasure to be around. A big thanks to Ben one of the best man for helping with the group photos, having someone as on it as Ben was always helps make this part go super fast. Anyway, here are some of my favourites from the day:
